Chaperone Wine Services is a national leader in interim wine storage. If you're selling your house, moving, renovating, retiring, or getting a collection ready for auction, and you need a safe place for your bottles in the meantime, we have a solution. Most of our clients need medium-term storage, anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of years, with no long-term contract and simple month-to-month billing.
Because storage is rarely the whole job, we handle the legs on either side: we pick the wine up, keep it climate-controlled and secure while you're in transition, and deliver it wherever you land next. For the security of every collection we hold, we don't publish our storage location, but give us a quick call and we're glad to walk you through it. Access is by appointment during regular business hours.

As you already know, wine needs to stay at 55 degrees to avoid spoilage, and that's exactly how we hold it, year-round. We can hold it for as long or as little as you want, everything is month-to-month, no long-term contract. What we hear from clients is that we're easy to reach and our prices are competitive. When you want it back, whether a single bottle or the whole collection, we bring it to you.
national & local transport
Our local team handles every pickup and delivery in person, and we reach the rest of the country through our freight network and regional crews. Our drivers are trained specifically to pack and load wine and keep it cold the whole way. A single case or an entire cellar, we handle it the same careful way.
sommelier services
We offer inventory, appraisal, and full cellar organization, handled by certified sommeliers. Whether you are valuing a collection for sale, settling an estate, or simply want a clear record of what you own, every bottle is logged and accounted for.
We're working in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and the Woodlands. We're in San Antonio and Boerne most weeks. We have monthly routes to Corpus Christi, and out to El Paso, Oklahoma City, and into Louisiana. We ship anywhere in the country, though we don't cross into Mexico.

can I access my wine while it's in storage?
Yes. Your wine is palletized and accessible by appointment. This works best when you don't need daily or weekly access.
how far do you ship?
Anywhere in the country. We are currently unable to handle orders to Mexico and Canada.
if we want to pack our own wine, what boxes should we use?
We can courier our own boxes to you. We also like U-Line's bottle carriers. Whatever you do, don't buy "wine shipping boxes."
do you inventory the wine when you pack it up?
Inventories are done by trained sommeliers, who generally aren't the ones driving or handling a residential pickup. We're glad to perform a full inventory for you at our facility.
